the 3rd annual Windsor/Essex County Sports Persons of the Year Awards

      The Windsor/Essex County Sports Foundation is looking to recognize and expose the best athletic area in our country.  The Windsor/Essex County sports scene is rich in quality athletes, teams and organizations.  The history tells the truth.  Consistently athletes and teams always come up with premier performances.  Whether it is on a local level or nationally, it seems as though our athletic groups and players always fight hardest to get to the top and make the area proud.  There is no other area in our wonderful country that can better stage a tournament
or championship than right here.

         This is why the Windsor/Essex County Sports Foundation has been created. To assist in getting the word out to the public and create awareness of what we have in our own backyard.  Our goal is to get the arenas and stadiums filled with local and area support. If we can together make this happen, Windsor and Essex County will remain the premier sports market in the country.

Each and every year, the Windsor/Essex County Sports Persons of the Year Awards (WESPY Awards) wants to salute and recognize the top performances of our athletes and teams of each season. This will also bring the entire sports community together generating unity among all programs.  The annual awards will create and maintain a history that will make past, present and future teams proud of their accomplishments. These awards will reassure that the roots of our sports will forever be recognized.

Windsor/Essex County Sports Foundation looks forward to growing with our community and watch the chapters of greatness unfold through the years.

Thanks to your generosity a portion of the proceeds from the WESPYs will be donated to the Hospice Fund and also to the Windsor/Essex County Sports Foundation
